Director of International Sales & Services - Latin America

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
The following duties cover the main elements of the position:
  • International sales of Holland Equipment Business Unit (HEBU), as well as all aspects of the Maintenance of Way (MOW) Division.
  • Develop annual sales, marketing, and service plans
  • Develop and manage department annual budgets
  • Provide for support of above sales in the form of service, equipment monitoring, quality assurance and application know how
  • Expand International product and service offering with globally available complimentary products/technologies consistent with business unit strategies
  • Establish key alliances with companies that can assist Holland in achieving above
  • Establish Holland as the “best in class” provider in the markets we participate
  • Develop long term and “win/win” relationships with customers, agents, and partners
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to progress towards our growth plans
  • Evaluate and negotiate international specifications, inquiries, and contracts as required to meet customer application and Holland margin goals
  • Review and negotiate financial agreements between Holland and customers within Corporate guidelines and approval
  • Liaison between customers/partners and Holland divisions/management
  • Forecasting, reporting and maintaining effective communications with management on market opportunities
  • Review and improve the sales and service processes utilizing Continuous Improvement methods
  • Active participation in the annual Holland strategic planning process
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Audio & Visual acuity.
  • Willingness to utilize all personal protective equipment.
 ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
  • General business office setting
  • Exposure on an intermittent basis to extreme weather conditions.
  • Exposure on an intermittent basis to dust and smoke during operations.
  • Exposure on an intermittent basis to noisy conditions.
  • Ability to travel internationally 50-75% via ground, air and rail
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Communications, or like field; Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual in English & Spanish required
  • At least 5 years in an international sales role and environment; technical or railroad background a plus
  • At least 5 years management experience
  • Engineering project management experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma concepts
  • Well versed in establishing relationships at all levels within customer and prospect organizations in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong communications skills, including verbal, written, and computer.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Great people skills, willingness to meet and develop new business relationships.
  • Positive attitude & strong work ethic.
  • Satisfactory completion of a company-training program.
  • Must successfully complete a background check, drug screen and obtain an eRailsafe badge.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license along with a passport and meet the Holland Vehicle Safety Policy.
