Senior Application Developer
We are looking for highly talented, motivated, and hard-working developers to architect and develop enterprise software applications. As a senior member of the Application Development team, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to design and implement complex solutions.
Successful candidates will have a strong development background using at least one programming language or a metadata-driven development platform.
Education and work experience preferences
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or Mathematics, or Computer Science
· 8 or more years of experience in software development
· Understands software development lifecycle
· Developed using Agile / Scrum methodologies
· Proven track record designing fully integrated application solutions
· An understanding of Financials, Distribution, or Manufacturing business processes
Specific skills
· Proficient in gathering technical requirements and building solutions
· Understanding of software design and programming principles
· A deep understanding of coding best practices - readability, maintainability, scalability, modularity, testability
· Knowledge of relational databases and data modeling
· Problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
· Can be flexible and quickly learn new technologies and product areas
· Good time-management skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Thrives in a team environment
· Works independently with minimal supervision or reminders
· Committed to delivering high-quality solutions and continuously improving code quality and testability
Responsibilities
· Create detailed designs based on complex functional requirements
· Technical leader and is the subject matter expert within their product area
· Mentor and coach junior team members
· Deliver innovative solutions to complex problems
· Support our existing customers by resolving issues
· Build and execute manual and automated unit tests
· Work effectively with other developers, architects, and managers
· Review and provide feedback on designs and code
· Champions best practices and development processes
Starting salary range: $110,000 - $135,000, depending on level of experience
