Nextworld, named #1 “Best Place to Work” in 2020 and 2021 by the Denver Business Journal, is a high-growth software development company based entirely in the Denver Tech Center and is looking to hire a Senior Postgres Database Engineer. The position is with our platform development team which provides the technology underpinning applications developed by Nextworld and our partner ecosystem.
Responsibilities
· Analyze performance of production & development database to identify bottlenecks
· Work with development teams to design & optimize queries, indexes, batch jobs, etc.
· Recommend improvements & optimizations to improve performance and operational efficiency
· Collaborate with product architects on the future evolution of our platform
Minimum qualifications
· 5+ years of experience working with Postgres
· Proficient with database performance analysis tools
· Deep understanding of Postgres' physical storage architecture, dead tuple generation, vacuuming, etc.
Preferred qualifications
· Experience with AWS RDS Postgres
Starting salary range: $110,000 - $145,000 depending on experience
Position located in Greenwood Village, CO. Nextworld's hybrid model has co-location in-office days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
