Associate Product Owner/Product Owner 2
Business Analysts/Associate Product Owner have the education or work experience in one or more specific subjects for which they were hired into Nextworld. They assist in writing requirements, creating Nextworld documentation for their product area, and preparing release notes. They test features to ensure requirements are met for a quality product. This individual must effectively communicate and collaborate with peers to work with product management and quality assurance teams to develop world-class enterprise software solutions.  

Specific skills
  • Manages their time and tasks effectively and efficiently. 
  • Takes direction and executes on their assignments, staying focused on their tasks and switching between them as necessary to remain productive and hit deadlines. 
  • Contributes to meetings by giving useful input. 
  • Proactively communicates when they have a time issue. 
  • Estimates story points effectively for self. 
  • Understands the features and functionality of the specific product area both at a high-level and detail-level.   
  • Leverages that knowledge to test existing and new software features in each release to meet the written requirements. 
  • Able to develop deep domain expertise and understanding of the business requirements for their product area. 
  • Writing is a crucial area of expertise for this role, from internal requirements and user stories to the customer-facing product documentation. 
  • Testing is the second area and is an integral part of quality assurance. 
  • Proficient in technologies/features provided by Nextbot tool, and able to translate tool capabilities into solutions to requirements. 
  • Developing domain expertise for business requirements relevant to their role, product area. 
Responsibilities 
  • Executes assigned tasks on time, proactively communicates blocking issues and status updates to product management and seeks help appropriately.  
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and take accountability for their deliverables.  
  • Able to understand user requirements and test software features to ensure that they have met requirements.    
  • Able to comprehensively learn a module, including how it would be used most effectively by a customer, and write concise help for the Nextworld software solution for that module. 
  • Decomposes and plans stories assigned to them into sub-tasks for execution. 
  • Makes effective and timely decisions by evaluating alternatives and assessing risk. 
  • Identifies issues within their tasks, raises the issues effectively, and works with teammates to successfully resolve those issues. 
Starting salary range: Depending on experience.
