Why SmartRank Exists
The old fashioned but ubiquitous process of reviewing resumes to assess talent is inefficient, ineffective, biased, and expensive.  Most Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) list applicants chronologically which doesn't create any differentiation and forces the recruiters, and sometimes hiring managers, to subjectively go through each applicant one-by-one.  In addition, most recruiters are not subject matter experts at every position they are hiring for, so they do their best comparing keywords between resumes and job descriptions, but unfortunately a lot of important context gets missed. This wastes time for both the recruiters and hiring managers.  In addition, applicant names and other data on resumes create the single biggest source of unconscious bias, restricting DE&I progress.

Summary
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for establishing and cultivating business relationships for the purpose of new customer acquisition. As a SmartRank Account Executive you will have the unique opportunity of having a massive impact through your sales efforts at a fast growing startup that is revolutionizing the talent acquisition space.  You will work very closely with Customer Success, Product Management, Marketing, and the Executive Leadership team to create and dominate the Talent Acquisition Productivity market that SmartRank is establishing.

What You'll Do 

Ownership & Responsibilities
  • Acquire new customers through outbound sales efforts
  • Consistently meet or exceed quota expectations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Manage a rolling pipeline of ~30 opportunities and 7x your quota expectations
  • Manage full sales cycle - prospecting, discovery, demos, contract negotiations, and closing
  • Create and provide customer presentations, quotes, pricing, proposals, and contracts
  • Conduct your own software demonstrations to convey the solutions SmartRank provides to customer problems
  • Respond rapidly to inbound leads, work with the SDR team, and prospect your own opportunities to schedule new meetings
  • Work with Marketing to develop meaningful and actionable campaigns to help generate the proper messaging and ultimately pipeline
  • Provide customer feedback to the SmartRank product team to help influence the product roadmap
  • Continuously improve the core sales processes needed to scale our sales team
What You'll Need

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required if you can provide evidence of a very strong track-record in outbound sales
  • 1 - 5 years experience in outbound (new customer acquisition through prospecting) sales
  • At least one year of selling SaaS solutions
  • Worked in a startup environment for at least 1 year
  • Prior experience selling to or working within the talent acquisition or HR space is a plus
  • Track record of consistently achieving and/or exceeding quota expectations
  • Experience selling to the C-level within small (less than 100 employees) to medium (100 - 2,000 employees) companies
  • Experience selling to small-to-medium sized organizations (50 - 2,000) employees
  • Experience doing YOUR OWN prospecting (i.e., cold calling) to schedule new appointments

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel to meet with customers and/or key stakeholders, product teams in other SmartRank locations (up to 70%)
  • Remote work environment means reliable internet access and productive working environment
How You'll Be Rewarded
  • Salary Pay Range in Colorado: $60,000 - $70,000
  • On-Target-Earnings (OTE): $120,000 - $140,000
  • Stock options
The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
