Senior Accountant - Crete, IL

Wage Type: Salaried, exempt
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintains and balances general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  • Fixed asset accounting including maintain the Company’s fixed asset system; reconciling to GL, assure compliance to policy.
  • Accounting for capital projects. 
  • Division accounting responsibilities including financial analysis of operating results.
  • Managing and analyzing division capital request requirements.
  • Revenue and expense variance reporting, analysis and explanation.
  • Various balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Other duties deemed necessary by Management. 
  • Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions.
  • Ability to lift up to15 pounds is regularly required for filing and other record keeping duties.
  • Vision must be sufficient for inputting data into a computer.
  • Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office related injuries.  
  • Indoor office environment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or like field required, CPA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years Accounting experience required
  • Payroll Accounting experience preferred
  • Intermediate software skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word including V,H Lookups, Pivot Tables and Graphic capabilities.
  • Must be able to work well with others both within and without our department.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and meet the Holland Fleet Policy. 
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P.
