Field Mechanic - Crete, IL

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing troubleshooting and technical assistance to HTEC operating personnel on all issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various HTEC equipment.
  • Field and in-house repairs, troubleshooting, and service.
  • Support / conduct field training programs.
  • Participate in equipment improvements and development projects.
  • Utilize Holland’s NCR, OFI and Quality Control Processes.
  • Perform Safety, Quality and Housekeeping audits.
  • Assist in monitoring adequate levels of recommended spare parts for HTEC equipment.
  • Will be required to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in case of emergencies.
  • Ability to travel via ground, air and rail up to 100% of the time
  • Must be willing to travel extensively via ground, air and rail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, twist at waist and reach overhead.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk/stand on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to climb in and out of various equipment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in field service to include troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge on various control systems.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Good training and coaching skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have good organizational and paperwork skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
  • Good math skills and ability to read and work with graphs.
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P.
  • Must have a CDL or be able to obtain a CDL within 6months of employment with holland  
  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy
