THE OPPORTUNITY
PassTime, a leader in asset tracking and technology solutions with over 30 years in business and experiencing significant business growth is looking for a talented Infrastructure Administrator. The successful candidate will be part of a team that designs, administers, and supports the PassTime infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of these skills further demonstrated with examples of past work.



Candidates should be self-described as driven, confident, analytical, and assertive. This position can be demanding with frequent deadline-oriented tasks that may require some evening and weekend work to perform infrastructure related hardware/firmware/software upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure minimal impact on regular business hours of operation.
 
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Utilizing best practices for IT Infrastructure architecture development, design, implementation, administration, and support
  • Working and interacting with internal and external IT Infrastructure support teams in both remote work and close-knit office working conditions
  • Effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Delivering Infrastructure related updates, changes and modifications independently using functional/technical specifications and the PassTime IT Change Management process
  • Employing strong knowledge of Infrastructure management, administration, and support
  • Identifying, collecting, processing, and organizing substantial amounts of information and data, which may be limited or incomplete
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Prioritizing work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Day to day endpoint management and user troubleshooting of IT-related software and hardware issues
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION
General Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent related IT Infrastructure experience
  • Training and certifications will be considered
  • Demonstrated 8+ years of progressive experience as an infrastructure/network/server/desktop administrator
  • A fundamental knowledge and ability to understand technology, information systems, data, and business processes
  • Knowledge of, and ability to work in an Agile/Kanban project management environment
  • Strong quantitative ability and aptitude for quantitative learning
  • Strong analytical and business writing skills
  • Excellent at troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Ability to present findings and technical proposals to internal and external customers
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work after normal business hours and on weekends as needed
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States 
Technical Requirements:
Advanced experience with the administration and support of:
  • VMWare virtualization to include ESXi (versions 6/7/8) and vSphere/vCenter
  • Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019/2022
  • Windows 10/11 desktops, laptops and tablets to include provisioning using Microsoft Intune MDM
  • The full Microsoft Office 365 suite of products to include Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint
  • A Hybrid Active Directory environment (both on-prem and cloud-based Azure AD) to include DNS/DHCP/WSUS
  • Cisco 9300 Core and Catalyst 1000 Switches
Experience with the administration and support of:
  • Dell PowerEdge Blade Servers
  • Networking Layers 1-4 to include advanced routing and switching protocols (RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, and IS-IS)
  • Both physical and virtual Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Global Protect VPN
  • F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers
  • Ubiquiti UniFi Wireless Access Points
  • Synology SANs
  • Veeam Backup and Recovery software and Wasabi Cloud Storage
The successful candidate: 
  • Utilizes effective communication skills: phone, face-to-face, email. 
  • Has basic business process acumen and understanding. 
  • Ability to adapt and work with multiple and various personality styles. 
  • Utilizes accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrates follow-up skills, time management skills, appointment setting skills, and a goal-oriented personality. 
WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING
  • Expected annual salary of $105,000 to $115,000 depending on experience and education.

  • PTO: 10 days per year as a new employee, PTO accrual based on years of service.
