We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Director of Clinical Programs. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with the CEO, Chief Medical Officer and head of marketing, and other key stakeholders to build and manage a formal Key Opinion Leader (KOL) program. The successful candidate will bring expertise in structuring and managing relationships with KOLs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive KOL program.
  • Identify and engage KOLs in each service line Pulmonology/Thoracic, HPB, Cardiology, Radiology, Oncology, and Women's Health.
  • Recruit, establish and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Understand our buyer personas and the major venues where they consume information (newsletters, podcasts, conferences, journals, etc.)
  • Develop a plan for each KOL that may include speaking engagements, journal publications/whitepapers/blogs, networking dinners, etc. to drive engagement with prospect and client community.
  • Determine specific messaging and positioning and goals for each deliverable or engagement.
  • Manage KOL outputs and commitments, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Connect KOLs with relevant commercial activities and sales interactions, maximizing the impact of KOL engagement on business objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to measure the effectiveness and impact of the KOL program.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to KOL engagement and clinical programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and R&D, to leverage KOL insights and expertise.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (clinical background preferred).
  • Min of 5 years of healthcare experience
  • Proven track record in building, managing KOL programs and establishing relationships with clinicians
  • Excellent relationship building skills with clinicians and executives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
